Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care: License-Exempt Family Providers

SEIU Local 925 brings child care providers together to network and work on issues we care about.  Our membership is critical to our unity and success.  We are proud to be part of this fabulous organization that cares so much about us and the families we care for.

Contract Gains
Through our first union contract, we won subsidy increases for the first time since 2000.  Providers went from $2.06 (for the first child) and $1.03 (for each additional sibling) to $2.20 (first child) and $2.17 (additional siblings).

Training Funds and Bonuses Now Available!
Training funds and bonuses are now available for providers because of our contract.  These include:

a $600 Bonus for 10 completed hours of child care related trainings, each contract year
up to $200 in tuition reimbursements for classes taken, essentially making trainings free
  a $250 Bonus if a license-exempt provider becomes a licensed provider

For more information on these opportunities, please contact the SEIU Local 925 Member Support Department at 1-877-734-8673.

  Paid Subsidy Training
License-Exempt providers can receive 4 hours of paid training when they take the Washington Subsidy Training.
