UW Staff Win 4.5% Raises Over 2 Years...

• Across the board increases: 2.25% on July 1, 2009 & 2.25% on July 1, 2010
• $100 one-time bonus within 60 days of ratification to each full time person and $50 to less-than-full-timers--that's about $500,000 in members' pockets now, even before this contract goes into effect.
• Members in 79 titles will get between 1% and 6% market rate adjustments in either January 2009 or July 2009.
• Several hospital titles will receive additional across-the-board increases to reflect market conditions.
• Some hospital titles also won an additional step at the top of the scale.
