Honoring David Warren, an early SEIU 925 leader

It was with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of David Warren, a lifelong union leader in the Pacific Northwest.

David was Secretary-Treasurer of SEIU Local 120 in 2001 when several smaller SEIU locals merged into what we now as SEIU Local 925. He then became one of the first of our local’s Vice Presidents. His guidance helped us build the strong foundation in statewide unity that is the basis of our SEIU 925 values.

His dedication to the labor movement spanned decades and took him from his hometown of Tacoma to Alaska, then Bellingham, and eventually around the country and world. In addition to his work with SEIU, he was also President of the Northwest Washington Central Labor Council for over 25 years.

David dedicated his life to making the world a more fair and just place for workers. He will be missed. We are proud to follow in his footsteps.
