UW Libraries & Press staff authorize one-day strike
UW Libraries and Press employees voted by 94.2% to authorize their bargaining team to call for a one-day strike. The bargaining team has selected Thursday, May 14 for the strike if they feel they are not close to a tentative contract agreement this Friday.

The Public Employee Relations Commission found that the University of Washington committed an Unfair Labor Practice when it withheld scheduled pay increases from eligible advising staff .
End the inhumane targeting of immigrants
We are devastated to learn that SEIU 925 child care provider Nicolle and her family were deported to Colombia after nearly 3 weeks in an ICE detention center in Texas. Nicolle cared for children with special needs, foster kids, and families with nowhere else to turn.
